DOTA 2: Upcoming LAN tournaments before TI7
The TI7, short for the International Dota 2 Championships 2017 is about to begin in just a few months with the world’s best teams trying to reach the zenith of professional Dota. But, TI7 is not the only premier tournament we’re going to see this summer. There are a multitude of tournaments in between for the fans to rejoice. Let us take a look at them.
StarLadder i-League Invitational #2 (18-21 May)
The second iteration of the StarLadder i-League invitational is being held in Shanghai, China with a prize pool of USD 100,000. The tournament is being organised by both StarLadder as well as ImbaTV and is being held from the 18th to 21st of May.
StarLadder sent out 6 direct invites to various teams in the world. The invited teams, along with two qualified teams are going to battle it out in front of the Shanghai crowd.

The qualified teams
The qualifiers were conducted in China as well as the European regions with one slot available in each region. Vega Squadron took the European spot by winning over Team Spirit. Invictus Gaming took the Chinese spot with a win over Vici Gaming which included a 3-2 comeback from IG.

The Manila Masters (26-28 May)
The Manila Masters, organised by ESL and Mineski Events Team is going to be held at Manila, Philippines as 8 teams are going to fight it out to win the lion’s share of the USD 250,000 prize pool. The tournament is going to be held from the 26th of May to the 28th of May at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Five teams were directly invited to the tournament, with the remaining 3 spots going out to the qualified teams from SEA, China and the Philippines.

This time again, Invictus Gaming qualified from the lone Chinese spot while Iceiceice’s Faceless took the only spot from the SEA region. The Philippines spot was secured by Clutch gamers with a 3-1 victory over TNC Pro Team.

ZOTAC Cup Masters (14-18 June)
The ZOTAC Cup Masters is going to be held at Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan. The tournament is organised by ZOTAC, ESL and Battlefy, offering a prize pool of USD 100,000. The organisers have decided to send out only two direct invites which haven’t been announced yet by the time of writing. Two teams each from Europe and SEA and one team each from the Americas and China are going to join in via the qualifiers.
Cloud9 have already taken the first European spot while Fanatic took the first SEA spot. Invictus Gaming secured the lone Chinese spot.
EPICENTER 2017 (4-11 June)
The second iteration of the widely acclaimed Epicenter is going to be held at the VTB Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia. The tournament offers a prize pool of USD 500,000. The LAN is going to be organised by Epic Esports Events. By the time of writing, five teams have already received direct invites with only one team yet to be invited.

DOTA Summit 7 (14-18 June)
The DOTA Summit 7 is organised by Beyond the Summit and is offering a prize pool of USD 100,000. Two teams have already received direct invites with two more to come.
Four qualified teams join the invite teams from 14th of June to the 18th of June just outside of Los Angeles, California. One team each from Europe, Americas, China and SEA are going to qualify for the premier LAN event. Clutch Gamers have already secured their place in the tournament winning the qualifier over WarriorsGaming.Unity.
