Pieliedie and FATA~ join NP as YapzOr replaces Pieliedie in Team Secret

It was announced earlier today on Team NP’s as well as Team Secret’s official websites that Pieliedie will be leaving Secret to join NP while YapzOr come in for Pieliedie at Secret. FATA~ also joins NP as their number 2.

The Kiev Major ended with huge successes as well as disappointments. Team Secret was eliminated in the Round of 16 by SG e-sports while Team NP failed to qualify for the Kiev Major. This forced both the teams to rethink  their tactics which finally resulted in 1437 and SVG being kicked out of NP and Pieliedie leaving Team Secret.

Team NP

With 2 positions, the Mid and support roles vacant at Team NP, FATA~ and Pieliedie were chosen to fill them which unites three people of the legendary Cloud9 team. FATA~, who last played for B)ears was left with no team when B)ears disbanded after they failed to qualify for the Kiev Major. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the already strong NP team.

EternalEnvy returns to his comfort zone as a carry while Aui_2000 transitions to the roaming support role he played when he was at Evil Geniuses. MSS will continue to play as the offlaner while Pieliedie joins in as the number 5 support. You can read the full official Team NP statement here.

With a multitude of Premier tournaments coming after the Kiev Major, Team NP is hoping to win at least one of them in an attempt to get a direct invite to TI7.

Team Secret

Team Secret failed miserably by losing to lowest seed SG e-sports in the Kiev Major as they crashed out of the tournament in the Round of 16. Despite being touted as the favorites to win the Kiev Major after a remarkable display in the group stages, they somehow failed to win against a recondite SG e-sports.

According to the official website of Team Secret, they’ve decided to mutually terminate Pieliedie’s contract and added YapZor to their team. This change sees Puppey move to the number five role while YapZor takes on the number 4 role in the team.

Team Secret will be making their qualifiers debut in the DreamLeague Season 6 EU qualifiers tomorrow and their LAN debut in the Manila Masters in May.
