StarLadder i-League Invitational: TNC Pro team vanquishes Invictus Gaming 2-0
Fans were in for a surprise when they tuned into StarLadder’s channel as they saw Invictus Gaming get stomped by a rejuvenated TNC Pro team. Playing their first match after a roster shuffle, they looked comfortable and showed why they must be feared.
Opening the first set of games in the tournament, TNC Pro team was the clear underdog against Chinese powerhouse Invictus Gaming who looked in good shape for the entire season. It was a real shock to see Invictus Gaming collapse in such a manner. Let us take a look at both the games.
Game 1
Draft
Invictus Gaming
TNC Pro team
TNC Pro took game 1 as they were too much for Invictus Gaming to deal with. With a master drafter like 1437 on their side, TNC Pro team took the advantage from the first second, claiming first blood on Q’s Warlock. Thanks to 1437, Kuku was able to win the midlane against a formidable Dragon Knight. Op died two times in the first five minutes and granted Kuku the advantage.
A Lycan on their side proved helpful as they were able to push up to Invictus Gaming’s tier 3 tower. Bad decisions in the early game came back to hurt IG as they lost every team fight, eventually calling GG after just 23 minutes.

Game 2
Draft
Invictus Gaming
TNC Pro Team
This time around, IG featured a number of comfortable picks as they drafted Juggernaut for BurNIng and Tinker for Op. But, they couldn’t get the better of TNC as they were dominating from start to finish. Despite claiming first blood on Sam H’s Dark Seer, IG couldn’t establish a lead. Meanwhile, Op died 4 times in the first 10 minutes giving TNC a 2k gold lead.
Despite finishing his Bloodstone a litte late, Kuku couldn’t be stopped as he went into berserk mode pawning 20 enemy heroes. Sam H produced yet another excellent display on Dark Seer and was right on time with his Vacuum-Wall combos.
In the end, IG couldn’t cope up with TNC’s aggressive style of play and called GG after TNC destroyed all their barracks to obtain Mega Creeps. They finally called GG in the 48th minute.
