It was announced on TNC Pro Team’s official website that Theeban ‘1437‘ Siva would be joining TNC Pro Team. He would be replacing Ryo ‘ryOr‘ Hasegawa as their position 5 player and would be taking over as the captain and drafter of the team.

1437 has recently been kicked out of Team NP by EternalEnvy due to their disappointing performance at DAC and the Kiev Major Qualifiers. With him not leaving the team on good terms, it was expected that he would be joining up with some other team in time for TI7.

He has a lot of experience under his belt as he participated in the first TI and has played for various teams, notably Digital Chaos and Cloud9.

Official press release

"Aside from filling in as TNC’s new support, 1437 will also take over the captaincy and draft from mid-laner Carlo “Kuku” Palad. His wealth of experience both as a player and as a coach will hopefully bring a fresh perspective to the team and allow them to get over their recent slump after exiting the Kiev Major in 9th-16th place."

It was also mentioned that ryOr will be a part of TNC and the management of the team has plans for him in the near future.

"As for Ryo ‘ryOyr’ Hasegawa, the TNC Pro Team management has other plans for him in the near future.  So make sure you stay tuned for announcements."

TNC Pro Team has been dubbed as the giant killer in the professional Dota 2 scene as they have eliminated a lot of big teams in major tournaments. Most recently, they denied OG the chance of winning the TI6 by defeating them in an exhilarating series.

A brief history of 1437

1437 started his career with Online Kingdom by participating at TI1 and finished in the 7-8th place. That was just the beginning as he joined Mousesports and finished as the runner up of the StarLadder StarSeries Season 2. After short stints with NA rejects and Na’Vi North America, he joined Cloud9. Then, he joined Digital Chaos but didn’t meet their expectations and was released by the team.

He then coached for Team Secret and then stayed at Team NP until he was kicked out of the team. Later, he joined the analysis desk at the Kiev Major and imparted his Dota 2 knowledge to the uninitiated viewers.

With 1437 joining TNC Pro Team, they look really strong on paper. With TNC playing at the Manila Masters later this month, this will be their chance to receive an invite to the regional qualifiers for TI7.
