The players had been together for over a year and a half under Danish Bears, Imperial and Cloud9. During this time, the team secured a second place in WESG 2016 and a 4th place in DreamLeague Season 6. But, failing to qualify for any LAN events necessitated changes to the team.

Official Press Release

13abyKnight had a few words before parting with the team.

"“When I started playing with Danish Bears back in June of 2016 I didn’t expect us to come this far. We improved a lot early on after joining Cloud9 and it showed in our results, but lately we were not able to continue that progress. We formed as a group of friends and the issues we encountered have not changed that, but we began being plagued by unresolved issues in our games. After discussing as a team whether there were any good long-term solutions, we have decided it is best to part ways. I want to thank Cloud9 and their fans for supporting us and giving us a chance to compete at this level.”— Jon “13abyKnight” Andersen, Former Cloud9 DOTA2 Player"

The General Manager of Cloud9 had a few words wishing good luck for the players in their future endeavors.

"“We want to thank Jon, Marcus, Christoffer, Mikki, and Danny for working with us these last few months. While we’re sad to see them part ways, we wish them all the very best of luck and hope to encounter them again soon.”— Danan Flander, Cloud9 General Manager"

Later 13abyKnight announced on Twitter that he had found a new team, but will continue to stream under the Cloud9 banner.

The pre TI shuffle has witnessed the disbandment of the Danish team. With under 10 days for roster lock, the players hopefully find a new team to play for in the Open Qualifiers.
