Na’Vi defeated Vega Squadron 2-1 in the Summit 7 EU qualifiers to reach the semifinals. They are going to battle it out against Team Empire for a place in the Winners’ final.

Na’Vi has played Vega Squadron three times this week alone, once in the Epicenter qualifiers where they lost the series 2-0 and twice in the Summit 7 qualifiers winning both the series. Let us take a look at each match and the highlights.

Na’Vi comfortably took game 1 even though Vega gave them the scares in the early game. With a Tusk in their lineup, Vega went for the aggressive plays, trying to harass Dendi’s Storm Spirit in the midlane. Claiming the first blood on Dendi, Vega claimed the early lead by going 4-1 in the first 10 minutes. General died 2 times on his Clockwerk, going down to Warlock’s extremely powerful fatal bonds.

This early aggression did not scare Na’Vi as Dendi finished his Bloodstone by 17 minutes and started seeking kills. With three kills in the next five minutes, Dendi completed his Shiva’s Guard, thus ensuring a bad day at the office for Vega’s Lifestealer and Templar Assassin. Sonneiko was on point too, with his consistency on Treant Protector.

It was a stomp from there on as Pajkatt’s Juggernaut came online and with Dendi alongside him, there was no stopping them.

Vega Squadron

Vega Squadron showed us their other side by taking game two in a dominating fashion. An aggressive trilane by Na’Vi paid off as they claimed first blood by killing Alohadance’s Slark, thanks to Sonneiko’s Treant Protector. The early game saw the teams trade their heroes in a very even match up. Vega Squdron finally took the lead when a team fight went sideways for Na’Vi. Treant Protector died four times in 5 minutes giving valuable gold to the Slark.

Timbersaw was closed down with ease, thanks to the Spirit Breaker and Dragon Knight’s stuns as well as Disruptor’s static storm. In the end, Vega Squadron was too much for Na’Vi as they called GG in the 41st minute.

Vega Squadron

Dendi once again showed how good he is on Storm Spirit by finishing the game with an overall score of 19/4/14. Vega Squadron once again took an early game lead by claiming first blood. Everything was going on well for Vega until Na’Vi won two team fights which saw three and four members of the Vega Squadron team die.

Dendi finished his bloodstone a little bit late this time due to the harass in his lane but recovered really well later in the game. Sonneiko was great on the Monkey King, providing valuable lockdown with Monkey King’s Boundless Strike.

Vega Squadron called GG as they couldn’t cope up with Dendi and Pajkatt.
