Given the tie, both teams walked off with $1,000. NaVi had a chance to 2-0 Vega Squadron, who made a comeback in Game 1. Vega eventually forced NaVi to call “GG” and move on to the Game 2. Which is unfortunate to say because NaVi led Vega Squadron for the majority of Game 1.

The first ten minutes were very tight, before NaVi inched away from Vega and the Squadron rallied back. The lead was too small to force a victory, and Vega Squadron would eventually capitalize on NaVi’s mistakes — killing all of NaVi’s members to force the surrender.

As for Game 2, the match remained close for about 25 minutes. After which point NaVi pulled ahead convincingly, tying the series at 1-1. The Bo2 round robin format allows ties. There will be no knockout stage; the top three teams coming out of the Group Stage will be the tournament victors (inevitably taking the majority of the prize pool home with them).

DreamLeague Season 7 EU Division: Day 2 Predictions

Day 2 features one new team of the eight total participants, Team Secret (sporting a new member). Fans can never be too sure which version of Secret will arrive to play. An early exit from the recent Kiev Major is worrisome for the team, but both the DreamLeague and the Mr. Cat Invitational Europe have easier teams to contend against.

Vega Squadron lead the Day 1 standings by games played.

Given Vega Squadron struggled to take a series from NaVi and Team Empire, tomorrow’s matchup against Team Secret should go to Secret. In a Bo3 series I might say Secret 2-1 Vega, but it’s Bo2 and I’m counting on Secret leading the table going into Day 3. Secret will 2-0 Vega Squadron Day 2.

Natus Vincere return Day 2 to face Team Empire. I expect to see a 1-1 between these teams. Neither of them will place Top 3 if you ask me. DreamLeague’s schedule is going to a play a great role in the final outcome. The in-form teams and prestigious teams get to play back-to-back matches late in the tournament; be on the lookout for which teams streak positively and negatively when the time comes.
