9. Clockwerk

Isolate and terminate – that should be Clockwerk’s motto. Like most heroes with a skillshot mechanic, Clockwerk can take a little practice before you can consistently land his hook faithfully. He can have difficulty overcoming Warlock, Zeus, Dazzle, and Lich, though if he gets the jump on them, it can be quite the tossup.

8. Dark Seer

Pulling enemy heroes into your Wall of Replica with Vacuum, Surging at just the right moment to catch a fleeing hero – many can play Dark Seer, but playing him well is more like performance art. You’ll notice that Mekansm, a classic Dark Seer item, was left off the list. It definitely is a strong build on him, but we decided to give you guys some variations to the mainline builds to add a dash of creativity to your Dark Seer game.

  • Scythe of Vyse (65.18%)

7. Riki

As much as I personally resent Riki the Stealth Assassin, he’s a clutch choice for position 3. If you play it smart, you should be able to soak experience without too much fear of threat, though you’ll need to keep a sharp eye for wards or a gem (duh). Crystal Maiden, Vengeful Spirit, and Warlock fare well against Riki, perma invis be damned.

6. Earth Spirit

He’s got disables, nukes, escape potential, and with a name like “Earth Spirit” he better be durable (surprise, he is). You’ll need something of a mix of mana and health regen early game. Magic Stick/Wand does well, though if you have to choose between that and Urn of Shadows, the Urn gives a nice additional boost to his primary attribute.
