ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is set to take place in over a month’s time as there’s still plenty of competitive Dota 2 left in the year.
Many Dota 2 fans might’ve assumed that with the end of The International that Dota 2 is winding down for hte year. Though, there’s still plenty of tournaments left for fans to engage with. The next scheduled Tier 1 tournament is ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 in Malaysia. Here’s everything you need to know about the event including qualifier dates, attending teams and more.

ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 Dates and Format
ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 will take place Dec. 11-17 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center. The group stage will consist of a single round-robin format with four teams qualifying for the brackets. The top two teams from each group advance to the upper bracket while the third and fourth teams will advance to the lower bracket. Fifth and sixth place teams will be eliminated.
ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 Prize Pool
The prize pool for the event is set for $1 million.

Here are the teams currently invited to the event:
- Gaimin Gladiators
- LGD Gaming
- Azure Ray
Nine more teams will qualify for the event through two rounds across multiple regions. Team Spirit, The International 2023 champions, were set to attend but ESL announced Nov. 9 that the team would not be at the event because of health issues.
