Dota 2 – Hoodwink, her shackling abilties and more

Hoodwink is an agility class ranged attack-type hero in Dota 2, well known for shackling enemies with trees. She is basically a support hero, however, can be played in a number of roles like Nuker, Escape, and Disabler as well.

Players must spend time analyzing abilities, powers, and weaknesses in order to play each hero effectively. Here is a quick guide on Hoodwink.

The Dota 2 and Valve Corporation narrated Hoodwink in this way

Always at hand when trouble’s afoot, Hoodwink lives to tangle with the threats that fill the haunted forest she adopted as her home. Toting a massive crossbow while still able to scurry through the woodland with the greatest of ease, Hoodwink is nearly impossible to keep tabs on in battle. Lose track and she’ll pop out behind you — your stunned carcass already dangling in one of her nets.

Abilities of Hoodwink

Acorn Shot

Acorn Shot is a physical attacking ability that shoots an acorn toward the target. The shot acorn bounces sidewards to the nearby units as well. The victim suffers movement and speed loss.

Bushwhack

Bushwhack is a magical ability that stuns the enemy units if they are near a tree. In addition, they take damage along with shacking to the tree.

Scurry

Scurry is a passive ability that enables Hoodwink to evade attacks while near a tree. With the usage of the ability, it gains bonus movement speed, phased collision, and tree-walking for a specific period of time.

Sharpshooter

With the sharpshooter ability, the hero charges itself for 5 seconds and fires a deadly blow with the crossbow in hand. The victim is slowed down and its attacking speed is reduced as well.

Given is a short overview of the abilities of Hoodwink. Still, players are advised to use them in the real field before going forward. As the ability seems to be simple to use might differ in real usage.
