The 30 Most Played DOTA Heroes… and Their Counters
By Jay Kakade
20. Faceless Void
Time may mean nothing for the Faceless Void, but for as long as I’ve played DOTA he’s been a bruiser. He can flee with Timewalk, perpetually bash you with Timelock, and make the wait for your cool downs interminable with Time Dilation. Don’t even get me started on Chronosphere.
Hero counters: Void is difficult to keep in hand, but we’ve seen Brewmaster, Magnus, Doom, Naga Siren, and Anti-mage do well against him. Keeper of the Light, Shadow Shaman, Enchantress, Magnus, and Jakiro are utility picks we recommend.
Item counters: get yo’ bad self out of Chronosphere range with a Blink Dagger. Since Void lacks active damaging abilities, Ghost Scepter can make you untouchable for the duration of Chrono. Ranged disables, like Eul’s and Ginsoo’s, can keep him from damaging teammates while the clock winds down on Chrono.
